Disability Support Worker Canberra- Cleaner

Crest Support Services is seeking qualified and experienced disability support workers to work with our client in Banks Canberra. Cleaning required is 4 hours every Thursday but we can offer extra cleaning with other clients if required.

**Position Summary**

The Disability Support Worker - Cleaner provides essential cleaning and domestic assistance services to NDIS participants and other clients to help them maintain a safe, clean, and healthy living environment. The role combines practical cleaning tasks with a person-centred approach, respecting client preferences, dignity, and independence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform general cleaning duties in client homes, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
- Assist clients with domestic chores such as laundry, changing bed linen, and organising household spaces.
- Follow individual support plans and cleaning schedules tailored to client needs and goals.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely, adhering to infection control and WHS procedures.
- Report any changes in client needs, safety risks, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all visits and tasks completed.
- Uphold confidentiality, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
- Promote client independence by encouraging participation in light household tasks where appropriate.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Banks ACT 2906: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
