As a Professor (Academic Level E), you will champion excellence in research, teaching and engagement, while driving innovation across the discipline, School, University and broader community.

In this pivotal position, you will lead strategic and academic initiatives that advance Nutrition and Dietetics, fostering excellence in scholarship, research collaboration, curriculum development, and external engagement. Your contributions will strengthen policy development, uphold academic standards, and build partnerships that elevate the University's national and international reputation. While the position is based in Rockhampton, flexible work arrangements may be negotiated.

Position Requirements
  • Doctoral qualifications (PhD) and recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area. A position at this level will normally require accreditation and standing (usually evidenced by an extensive research publication record).
  • Demonstrated expertise in dietetics course accreditation and comprehensive knowledge of national competency and accreditation standards.
  • An understanding of current professional and educational issues within higher education and evidence of well-developed industry, research and/or government networks.
  • A strong track record of quality teaching evidenced by student and/ or peer feedback.
  • Demonstrated expertise in staff management, including performance management, mentoring and motivating a team to obtain high-quality outcomes.
