About the teamAbout the roleYou will:
  • Lead sustainable sourcing strategies and governance to enhance sustainability credentials and stakeholder trust
  • Lead and oversee seafood product portfolios as business strategic lead on seafood sustainability
  • Develop and manage strategic research, policy and governance programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, NGO's and Government
  • Lead the seafood governance program and supporting IT platforms, driving supplier integration, sustainability performance, and go-to-market strategies that commercialise our sustainability ambitions
  • Communicate the Coles Own Brand responsibly sourced seafood programme and initiatives to Government, NGO's and advocacy groups
  • Oversee the strategic direction of internal Coles working groups and provide advice to key senior internal stakeholders
You will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Sustainability or a related field
  • Auditor qualifications or extensive experience in governance and risk management
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing sustainable seafood strategies
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and global seafood production systems, supply chains and external groups
  • A demonstrated understanding of traceability programmes and verification systems
  • The ability to build trust and relationships that support in delivering step change innovation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders
