About the Opportunity

This is more than just another plant-based engineering role, it's your chance to step into a high-impact position within one of Australia's most technically complex and integrated chemical manufacturing sites.

As the Electrical Engineer, you'll join a close-knit, high-performing reliability team supporting the electrical integrity and performance of a large-scale ammonium nitrate facility. The site includes Ammonia, Nitric Acid, and AN plants, with a diverse range of systems, from high-voltage networks and turbine generators to transformers, instrumentation, and control systems.

You'll lead technical investigations, own reliability improvement projects, and play a hands-on role in fault resolution and preventative strategies. Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you'll be a visible and valued contributor, working closely with the maintenance and engineering teams, influencing frontline technicians, and gaining exposure to senior leadership including the CEO. This is a rare opportunity to grow into a leadership role and make your mark on critical infrastructure that services the mining sector across Queensland.

About You

You're a qualified Electrical Engineer with proven post qualification experience in heavy industry such as in chemicals, oil & gas, mining, manufacturing or similar. You have Australian working experience and broad, hands-on exposure in an operational plant environment. You're practical, switched-on, thrive on solving complex technical problems, and you've got the fault-finding and root cause analysis skills to prove it. You will have some instrumentaion exposure and may have also worked with HV systems or hazardous areas. You're someone who takes ownership of issues, projects, and outcomes, and you genuinely enjoy working with people: mentoring trades, collaborating across functions, and influencing the way things are done.

You're open to relocating to Moura or Biloela to embrace regional life and career growth in equal measure.
