Now with Australian operations in full swing and thriving, we require the services of an up and coming Assistant Accountant to join the centralised Australian finance team.

About the Role:

As an Assistant Accountant you'll be at the heart of our finance operations, handling day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, reporting, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. You'll help streamline procedures, maintain compliance, and ensure our financial records are accurate and insightful. Every spreadsheet and report you work on will have a real impact on our mission to accelerate Australia's transition to renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, receipts, and payments.
  • Ownership and management of ledger process, including assisting with the preparation of financial reports and account reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Bank account administration
  • Assist with answering emails and phone calls, liaising with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial processes.
  • Support the Finance Manager and wider team with ad hoc accounting tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards
  • 1-2 years minimum experience within a finance team
  • Experience in month-end reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Xero and MS Office systems
