Job Opportunity

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Assistant Accountant will play a key role in elevating our financial operations. You'll provide hands-on support across finance, tax, and accounting—driving impact in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and banking activities.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Accounts payable - posting of invoices, payables aging reports and payment proposals
  • Accounts Receivable – responsible for the timely and accurate issuance of invoices, ensuring they are promptly sent to clients, and maintaining regular oversight of the AR ageing to drive consistent and timely payments.
  • Processing fortnightly payroll for multiple entities in Australia and overseas
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Managing multicurrency bank accounts
  • Data and cost analysis
  • Assisting the CFO by ensuring all invoices are correctly approved, allocated and entered
  • Assisting the CFO in their tasks and deliverables related to month end processing, reporting, reconciliations, taxation and compliance
  • Ad hoc tasks

About You

You enjoy working in a small size hands-on team. This role requires a highly motivated, professional who is positive, polished and will enjoy taking additional responsibility.

Skills and experience

  • Must be proficient in Xero and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Fluent English in reading and writing
  • At least three years of experience in a finance role is compulsory. Prior experience in a private practice setting will be highly regarded
  • Must have excellent written and spoken English, strong communication skills and highly organized
  • Positive work ethic and ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong data analysis skills
