The Complex Case Manager plays a critical role in the lives of children and families involved in the Statutory system.
MASP is seeking to fill a full time and part time contract, ending 01/07/2026.
As a Complex Case Manager, you will play a critical role in the lives of children and families involved in the Statutory system. The Case Manager, working within the program, will work directly with at risk and vulnerable children and young people subject to Child Protection intervention.
The Primary goal of the program is to work with complex cases with the over aching goal to reduce risks and increase the safety of children and young people accessing the program. Case managers working in the program will work within a diverse setting across a number of areas of the Child Protection system including Out of home care (Foster care, Kinship care and at times residential care), Family reunification and Support to maintain children and young people within the family/ placement setting.
The Case Manager's responsibility is to provide advice, risk management, intensive support, advocacy, and guidance to ensure the well-being and safety of children remains paramount. This is done through a collaborative and trauma informed approach working directly with children and young people, families, and relevant agencies.
This position demands a compassionate, organised, and adaptable individual dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Expected commencing salary of $45.9233per hour plus statutory superannuation. Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.

Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and/or adolescents.
- Highly developed assessment skills, capacity to apply a range of intervention strategies, effective problem-solving skills, highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of child and adolescent development theory and practice.
- Working knowledge of the out-of-home care, child protection legislation and systems.
- Experience working with other professionals, government and non-government agencies and services.
- Possession of effective organisational and time management skills.
- Sound negotiation and assertiveness skills.
Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
