Housing Access Support Worker

MASP is a not-for-profit organisation located in Mildura, Victoria.
The Housing Access team provides valuable support to vulnerable community members who currently experience - or are at risk of - homelessness. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local people.
MASP is seeking to fill one full-time ongoing position.
The Housing Access Support Worker will manage a caseload of homelessness and at risk of homelessness clients to meet the individuals' identified needs and goals.
They will also develop local networks and partnerships within the sector to ensure appropriate supports and referrals are put in place to achieve positive outcomes for individuals and families within our community.
Expected commencing salary of $78,675.99 per annum (dependent on qualifications) plus statutory superannuation. Because MASP is a non-profit organisation, you also have the option to maximise your income through salary packaging.

Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience
- Possession of the mandatory qualification (or actively studying towards the qualification).
- Ability to deliver effective client-centered case management practices.
- Demonstrated experience working with young people, single adults and/or families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
- Ability to engage clients with complex needs and from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to liaise with and make referrals to other government and non-government agencies and services.
- Effective organisation and time management skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
