- Implement governance practices including information classification, appraisal, controls, risk assessments, and sensitivity/security classification to ensure compliance with mandatory regulatory requirements while supporting business needs and service delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business system requirements and embed them into current and future governance solutions through revised or new policies, directives, guidelines, and procedures.
Skills and experience:
- Proven project management expertise in delivering compliance-focused projects within the public sector, ideally in records, information, or data management.
- Strong legislative knowledge, with experience interpreting and applying frameworks such as the Privacy Act, Public Records Act, Metadata Standards, Data Attributes, and the QGEA cyber security framework.
- A strategic yet pragmatic approach, with the ability to translate big-picture governance requirements into practical, everyday solutions that enhance records and information management.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to provide trusted advice, influence decision-making, and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
