PKF Australia is a national, award winning mid-tier accounting and business advisory group of independent firms, tailoring their service and solutions with a specific focus on client needs.

We have an exciting role available and are seeking a talented Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Advisory Services team on the Gold Coast.

The successful candidate will have client interaction of a diverse client base, under the supervision of a Manager and/or Director. You will gain exposure to technical issues, complex structures and larger client groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of tax returns and financial statements for a range of entities
  • Preparation of BAS/GST/FBT returns
  • Providing advice to clients on general accounting and tax matters
  • Compliance accounting and bookkeeping

A demonstrated knowledge of the following software (advantageous, not essential):

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • Xero Tax
  • FYI Docs

Skills, attributes and competencies required:

  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Commerce or similar
  • Commenced the CA program or willing to commence CA studies
  • Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels within the firm and clients
  • Demonstrated self-starter
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
