About the Role

As an Aviation Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of our fleet. You'll be responsible for forecasting, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role is pivotal in supporting on-time performance, safety, and cost efficiency across our operations.

Qualifications & experience

  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills or equivalent aviation maintenance qualification (preferred)
  • 2 years' experience in maintenance planning or technical services within an airline or MRO (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, airworthiness directives, and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in maintenance planning software (e.g., AMOS, OASES, or similar is beneficial)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational priorities

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance plans for line and base maintenance
  • Forecast upcoming maintenance requirements based on aircraft utilization, regulatory intervals, and fleet strategy
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Line Maintenance, and third-party MROs to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks
  • Compile and issue work packages, task cards, and materials lists for scheduled maintenance
  • Monitor maintenance progress, update planning systems, and adjust schedules as needed
  • Assign aircraft tails to routes based on maintenance and operational needs
  • Track deferred defects, MEL items, and ensure timely rectification
  • Support compliance with CASA regulations, OEM requirements, and internal procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and systems
