About the role:
We're looking for a skilled and safety-focused Electrical Tradesperson to join our team at Origin's Uranquinty Power Station (UPS). Reporting to the Plant Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations. Keeping critical systems running, solving complex issues, and helping us deliver reliable energy every day.
This is a hands-on role where your technical skills and problem-solving mindset will make a real impact. You'll be part of a close-knit team that values safety, teamwork, and doing the job right the first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out a variety of electrical maintenance tasks, both planned and unplanned.
- Troubleshooting and repairing plant faults to maintain reliability.
- Supporting outage works and getting involved in project-based maintenance.
- Working within Origin's high safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Taking on permit responsibilities under the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- Using root cause analysis to drive improvements in performance and reliability.
- Collaborating with operators, technicians and contractors on daily operations and on-call roster.
What You'll Bring
- Electrical trade qualification and a current licence.
- Confident using CMMS systems like SAP for planning and tracking maintenance, and purchasing purposes.
- Solid knowledge of safety procedures and standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents.
- A practical, safety-first mindset with great attention to detail.
- Valid "C" Class Driver's Licence.
- Open to relocation within Australia
Bonus Skills (Desirable but Not Essential)
- Experience in high voltage switching.
- Background in industrial or plant maintenance electrical work.
- Additional licences: EWP, Confined Space, LVR/CPR, Working at Heights.
- Familiarity with DCS systems and small-scale project coordination.
