About the role

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment? We're looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our depot, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

  • Allocate depot labour effectively to achieve productivity targets while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Oversee the quality control of surveyed containers, ensuring grading meets company standards.
  • Organise depot activities for efficient receival and dispatch of containers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for depot clients, managing communication and resolving daily operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in all relevant depot software systems.
  • Conduct quarterly stock takes and report on any variances.
  • Implement and manage equipment maintenance programs, ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and within budget.
  • Ensure depot facilities are maintained to a clean, safe, and professional standard.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and termination of depot staff.
  • Conduct monthly work-in-progress (WIP) reviews and annual performance appraisals.

About You

  • Proven experience in operations or depot management, ideally within logistics, transport, or container services.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in using operational or depot management systems.
