About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at TOTAL Containers WA' in Wattleup, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring a safe, efficient and productive environment for our skilled tradespeople.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of welders/fabricators.
  • Develop and maintain workshop procedures and processes to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing change.
  • Ensure all workshop activities comply with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to team members as needed
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work culture and promote continuous learning and development of yourself and your team.
  • Collaborate with management and other departments to align workshop activities with business objectives.

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience as a workshop supervisor or team leader in a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to oversee a wide range of workshop activities.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Proven track record of implementing efficient workshop processes and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Formal qualifications in a relevant trade or supervisory discipline are highly regarded.
