About the role

We're looking for a dedicated and detail oriented Senior Payroll Officer to join our friendly team

In this role, you'll take the lead in managing the day-to-day payroll operations for our Aged Care and Disability Services.

Your work will help ensure our amazing staff are paid accurately and on time so they can continue making a difference in the lives of others every day.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll for over 300 employees
  • Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports
  • Set up new employee records and process terminations
  • Process pay adjustments and variations as required
  • Respond to and resolve payroll queries in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation and the SCHADS Award
  • Calculation and processing of regular STP, Superannuation, LSL and Payroll Tax obligations
  • EOFY payroll compliance activities

About You

You're someone who takes pride in accuracy, loves a well organised spreadsheet, and enjoys being part of a supportive team. You're adaptable, approachable, and confident working in a busy environment where no two days are the same. 

The ideal candidate for the role would also possess:

  • Detailed working knowledge of the SCHADS Award (essential)
  • Experience with iChris or Chris21 payroll systems
  • Experience using Carelink - Rostering software (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience leading the payroll function within an Aged Care and/or Disability services context (minimum 3-5 years)
  • Great attention to detail, excellent time management and adaptability
  • A friendly communication style and commitment to great customer service
