We are seeking a
Systems Engineer
to join a major national program enhancing secure communications capability. This role ensures that program requirements are met across acquisition, sustainment, and delivery, while driving engineering excellence and supporting a collaborative team environment.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to engineering activities for a large-scale acquisition program
  • Ensure system requirements are met through structured engineering processes
  • Develop, manage, and maintain program engineering documentation
  • Provide technical advice across contracts and projects
  • Manage risks under delegated authority
  • Support and mentor the engineering team in day-to-day activities
  • Review deliverables and provide technical feedback
  • Coordinate technical workshops and collaborate across multiple workstreams
  • Maintain compliance with internal quality management systems

What we're looking for

  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to attain)
  • Degree in Communications Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of structured capability or systems engineering frameworks
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven leadership and mentoring ability
  • Familiarity with contract frameworks such as ASDEFCON (or similar)

Desirable

  • Experience in large-scale government or industry capability projects
  • Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational integration challenges
  • Experience leading diverse technical teams
