Established over eighteen years ago, we are a growing Melbourne-based Software Consultancy with a core focus of delivering business-critical digital products to our clients. We utilise Design Thinking and Agile practices to rapidly create customer and business first software, testing and embracing new technologies and trends along the way.

Our Senior Developers become trusted advisors to our clients, working alongside other client stakeholders to ensure delivery and technical excellence. As a Fabric Senior Developer, you will lead by example and work hands-on alongside your teammates on delivery - as well as providing high-level guidance and advice to our customers.

Your key responsibilities as a Consultant-Developer at Fabric:

• Work under autonomy with a self-driven attitude to own problems and deliver solutions
• Understand the complex business and technical problems, learn quickly, understand tradeoffs and communicate a solution
• Collaborate closely with your team to understand client problems and contribute to the design and delivery of technical solutions
• Apply different languages and technologies to your projects while coding side by side with other developers on your team
• Build software using modern programming languages and frameworks, adapting to the tools and technologies needed for each project
• Applying test-driven development practices to ensure high quality of the software, and reduce future effort and cost on implementing changes to the product
• Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile ceremonies to continuously improve the quality of both your work and the team's output
• Develop your skills across new technologies and domains with support from senior team members
• Being an ambassador for Fabric, promoting our values and the practices we use to make sure we build the software right
• Participate in interviewing and recruitment based on business needs
• Generate thought leadership content relevant to your role to support our marketing department in social media activities and meetups

The skills you would need to be a Senior Consultant-Developer:

• Proficiency in one or more coding languages (Java/Kotlin, Python, , C#, React, CSS, Javascript, Typescript, etc.) and being comfortable with learning a new language/technology required for a new client project
• Having experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
• Applying test-driven development practices (TDD) to your work
• Familiar with one of the cloud technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform or Azure, etc.
• Working knowledge of docker. Experience with kubernetes would be an advantage
• Being comfortable with one of the agile methodologies for organising their work
• Being flexible and ready to wear multiple hats during the project lifecycle

90K- 120K
