About the Role

Due to an internal move, Velocity Truck Centres has an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to take the reins at Daimler Trucks Laverton, one of the network's premier dealerships.

With a team of around 100 across new truck/van sales, parts, and service, you'll be at the heart of driving performance, boosting profitability, and shaping a high-performing, customer-focused culture.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, champions the needs of the customer, drives operational excellence, and leads with a people and safety-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage dealership operations, covering parts, service, and new truck and van sales.
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, our OEM partner, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Coach, develop, and empower employees to foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in a similar operational management role, ideally within the automotive or heavy vehicle industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L responsibilities and drive profitability through disciplined execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalize on business growth opportunities.
  • A commitment to safety and ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, sites and functions in a matrix organisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and dealer management systems.
