MRS Property is seeking a proactive, enthusiastic and motivated person, with a high attention to detail, to perform a varied Trust Accounting role within our Client Accounting Department, providing a high standard of customer service to our Property Managers and external clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting daily receipting and bank reconciliations.
  • Overseeing the accurate posting of accounts payable invoices to their allocated portfolio.
  • Conducting regular payments runs to creditors and owners.
  • Lease administration including the processing of lease assignments and terminations, rent reviews, setting up of new leases and renewing leases.
  • Setting up of new clients including owners, properties, suites and leases.
  • Issuing tenant tax invoices.
  • Processing of tenancy adjustment and miscellaneous charges.
  • Performing mid-month and EOM reconciliations and checks.
  • Assisting with queries from clients, tenants and contractors.
  • Assisting Property Managers with annual budgets and outgoings reconciliations.

A key part of the role will be interacting with other members of the Client Accounting Department and Property Managers from SA and VIC, whose clients and tenants are reliant on the outcomes produced by the Client Accounting team.

What We're Looking For:

  • An Accounting qualification, either degree or diploma, is required for this role.
  • A fundamental understanding of general accounting practice and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in a commercial property trust accounting environment would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and strong keyboard skills.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
