Boilermaker - Crane Girder Fabrication

Are you an experienced and skilled boilermaker looking for a new challenge? Our client, a leading fabricator specialising in heavy steel structures, is searching for a talented individual to join their team building high-quality crane girders in an expanding workshop.

The core of the work is fabrication, and we are seeking skilled boilermakers to weld the steel plates together to form the girder's structure, which is then reinforced with stiffeners. You will be working on large-scale, complex projects that require precision and a strong understanding of fabrication processes.

Rate: $ Super + OT (10 hour Shifts)

Monday to Saturday

The Role Involves:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Marking out and cutting steel sections
  • Fitting and welding structural components
  • Operating various fabrication equipment and machinery
  • Ensuring all work meets our strict quality and safety standards

About You:

  • You must have Structural Steel Fabrication Experience (essential) and a Trade Certificate in Fabrication Heavy (Boilermaker).
  • The ability to pass Non-Destructive Testing is required.
  • You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Structural Steel
  • You must have the right to work in Australia.
  • We are looking for someone with excellent time management skills and a high attention to detail, a positive and initiative-taking attitude, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • The flexibility to work a combination of days, nights, weekends, and out-of-hours is also necessary.
