Our marketing team is growing We have been tasked with amplifying our storytelling of unforgettable experiences on the Gold Coast, from large-scale music festivals to HOTA precinct activations and cultural programs. A new position has been created for an experienced Commercial Marketing Director to turn those experiences into thriving commercial success stories.
This is not just a marketing role. It's a leadership position at the crossroads of creativity, commerce, and data, where you'll design and deliver integrated campaigns that take audiences on a seamless journey from inspiration to action.
What you'll do
- Lead and inspire the development of EGC's commercial marketing strategy across events, HOTA precinct experiences, partnerships, and cultural programs.
- Deliver full-funnel, conversion-focused campaigns that drive ticket sales, event attendance, retail engagement, and commercial revenue.
- Collaborate with creative, digital, and destination marketing teams to produce standout campaigns that work across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Use insights and analytics to optimise campaigns in real time, report on ROI, and keep our strategies sharp and effective.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years' experience in commercial or consumer marketing, ideally in events, entertainment, arts or retail.
- Deep experience in ecommerce will be highly regarded.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through data-led, conversion-focused marketing strategies.
- Strong background in paid media, digital experience optimisation, and campaign analytics.
- Skill in mapping complex consumer journeys and delivering creative assets that convert.
- Leadership experience in matrixed organisations, with outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills.
