As our Accounts Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of our day-to-day finance operations. Through your attention to detail, system proficiency, and commitment to following processes, you'll help safeguard Maverick Bio's financial integrity – allowing us to continue making a global difference.

What You'll Do

• Manage full-function accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Monitor accounts, cash flow, and ensure timely credit card and expense claim processing.
• Administer the centralised accounts mailbox with professionalism and responsiveness.
• Support weekly and monthly financial tasks, including month-end close activities.
• Contribute to process improvements and system capability across the team.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a professional, solution-focused manner.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a broad accounts role with demonstrated skills across payables and receivables.
• Competency in Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central) or similar ERP systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• High-level accuracy and consistency in processing and reconciliation.
• Ability to prioritise, follow structured processes, and consistently meet deadlines.
• Works independently while contributing positively to team goals.
• Builds respectful and professional relationships across the organisation.

Desirable:

• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation).
• Experience with Accounts Payable automation platforms (e.g., Continia, Exflow).
• Prior experience supporting audit preparation.
• Relevant qualification (Certificate IV/Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance).
