We are now seeking for an experienced Project Manager who will be managing projects for overseas Defence customers.

Your new role

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects to customers, industry and country standards, from project contract stage to closure
  • Draft and deliver key data requirement lists, item descriptions and any other documentation under relevant standards
  • Work with various line functions to ensure successful project execution and completion
  • Manage projects team members and ensure clear internal communication is maintained
  • Ensure project management procedures are followed
  • Maintain exceptional communication with clients throughout the life of the project
  • Seek, suggest, and implement process improvements within operations, particularly relating to project delivery
  • Work with other Project Managers in a hands-on role to assist them enabling requirements and deadlines to be met
  • On occasion, undertake additional tasks to assist with company functions, including assistance with tenders, business development and/or Defence requests where prior knowledge of the task or customer can add value
  • International travel as required to attend meetings, client visits, or events

Qualification and experience

  • Experience in Defence industry highly regarded
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Previous experience in technology-based roles desired but not essential (RF, SATCOM)
  • Proven experience in Project Management
  • Possession of, or the ability to qualify for, an Australian defence security clearance (baseline minimum, NV1 preferred)
