The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia's (BDA) Operations Integration is seeking a Manager, to lead our Continuous Improvement and Internal Projects team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager - Operations Integration, the ideal candidate will lead a team of continuous improvement and project management experts whilst working closely with cross-business key stakeholders to determine process improvement opportunities.
The role will require the experience and ability to shift seamlessly from strategic planning to hands-on delivery of projects and process improvements. Strong leadership skills are required with a track record of successful implementation to deliver value and achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Coach, train, and lead a team of continuous improvement and project management specialists to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives and projects in alignment with defined benefits and organisational goals.
- Develop and manage the deployment of a business-level Continuous Improvement and Internal Projects roadmap in alignment with BDA strategy.
- Utilise data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and track the success of implemented initiatives.
- Manage and provide oversight of team project and continuous improvement plans and budgets to ensure successful opportunity realisation, adhering to Boeing Project Management Best Practices.
- Establish and maintain a governance framework for continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
- Monitor project performance, provide regular reports to senior management, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-business key stakeholders at all levels to foster a supportive environment and ensure buy-in and support for effective delivery of business improvements.
- Partner with the Enterprise Change team to ensure change management activities are integrated into project and improvement plans, tailored appropriately.
- Support and coach leaders and teams on Lean and continuous improvement methodologies, directly leading the implementation of projects to build and sustain a culture of business improvement.
- A bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, project management, operations or a related field with relevant industry qualifications.
- Significant experience of leading, coaching, and developing a team with the ability to support, lead, and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle.
- Demonstrable project management and/or continuous improvement experience, including experience in leading complex change initiatives in a large organisation.
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and achieve change through collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to provide strategic direction to multidisciplinary teams working on high profile projects to deliver business outcomes within defined timeframes.Key Qualifications and Skills
- A bachelor's degree in business management, business administration, project management, operations or a related field with relevant industry qualifications.
