About Matsa

Matsa Resources has recently commenced mining at the Devon Pit Gold Mine and is expanding its technical team. We're a well-funded gold exploration and producing company focused on the Lake Carey Gold Project (1Moz resource) south of Laverton, which includes Devon, Fortitude, Fortitude North and Red October. Lake Carey comprises some 4252km of highly prospective ground in the Laverton Tectonic Zone. The project sits between Goldfield's Granny Smith & Wallaby mines, AngloGold's Sunrise Dam mine and Northern Star's Carosue Dam & Deep South operations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Exploration Manager to lead the exploration function of the Company. This role will be hands-on across all facets of exploration and development, with responsibilities including:

  • Manage the Company's tenements including reporting, resource assessment and recommended actions
  • Provide expertise, guidance and recommendations to corporate, operations and exploration functions of the Company to assist planning and budgeting
  • Develop and implement appropriate exploration programs to advance the Company's project pipeline
  • Design and management of drilling programs
  • Plan, implement and execute exploration programs as approved by the Board
  • Geological systems and database management
  • Mentoring junior staff and working with operations teams

About You

  • Degree in Geology or related discipline
  • Strong gold geology experience
  • Sound understanding of gold mineralising models
  • Experience in geophysical and geochemical surveys and interpretation
  • Competent with mining software (Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog or similar)
  • Leadership ability with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Experience in other commodities
