PrincipleFocus is an accounting & advisory business that has a big vision, for us and for our clients. We listen, develop possibilities, focus on outcomes and inspire growth - growth in people, growth in business and growth in profits.
PrincipleFocus is different from other firms - relationships come first. As management accountants, we take a holistic approach to vision, strategy and implementation. Our clients are proactive regional families in agribusiness and investment, seeking growth and change.
To achieve our vision our team must also grow - in excellence, collaboration and innovation, through our collective and varied experiences and our knowledge; and now in size, to meet growing demand for our services.
The position offers:

- Identify and follow up opportunities to add value for clients and for PrincipleFocus.
- Work collaboratively with the team, to support each other and to grow and advance our business.
- Support clients with regular management accounting & reporting for complex farming entities.
- Prepare pre-June tax estimates for clients.
- Review and finalise year-end financial statements and tax returns.
- Manage clients' taxation and other compliance obligations, and support them in their future plans.
Essential skills:
- 5 years' experience in a professional practice or corporate environment.
- Excellent client management and communication skills and ability to develop strong client relationships – an authentic, genuine interest in clients.
- High skill levels in business communication and teamwork.
- Committed to growth and learning (including continuing professional development).
- Strong attention to detail and good work ethic.
- Demonstrated skills in problem-solving.
- Demonstrated skills in workflow management, prioritisation and organisation.
- Experience in providing informative financial reporting in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
- Experience and understanding of client tax compliance obligations.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office 365, financial reporting applications and Xero.
Desirable skills:
- Demonstrated skills in client relationship building, development and sales experience.
- Business development skills (i.e. developing the PrincipleFocus business)
- Business development skills (i.e. developing client businesses – e.g. business & strategic planning, development of business models, budget preparation).
- Experience with practice management software, specifically FYI.
- Experience with management accounting and reporting.
- Experience in SMSF administration.
- Experience in writing complex tax advice.
Your opportunity:
You will be an integral part of a high performing and professional team, in a people focused business. We believe and are motivated by support for each other, service to clients, and "making a difference".
