Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health
Service (DDHS) is an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation committed to
providing culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care services
and community development within the Biluru (Aboriginal) community of the Yilli
Rreung (Greater Darwin) Region in the Northern Territory.

ABOUT THE
ROLE

The role provides high-level administrative
coordination and compliance support within a primary health care setting,
ensuring efficient clinic operations and adherence to accreditation and
regulatory requirements. Working collaboratively with clinic leadership and the
Clinical Excellence team, the position supervises clinic reception staff,
drivers and Indigenous Outreach Workers. Additionally, this position manages
documentation and reporting systems, supports audit and accreditation
processes, and ensures culturally safe service delivery. The role also involves
liaising with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to continuous
quality improvement, and upholding the values and cultural integrity of Danila
Dilba in all aspects of work.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provide high-level
    administrative coordination and operational support across the clinic and
    compliance functions to ensure efficient and responsive service delivery.
  • Support and monitor
    accreditation, certification, and compliance activities, including preparation
    for audits, documentation, evidence collection, and stakeholder follow-up.
  • Supervise and manage a small
    team of administrative and support staff, including performance management,
    rostering, training, and development.
  • Coordinate clinic and service
    meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and documentation of
    outcomes and follow-ups.
  • Manage clinic consumables,
    supplies, and facilities including scheduling of equipment and vehicle
    maintenance.
  • Support financial and billing
    functions, including Medicare and documentation required for revenue
    generation.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

  • Diploma of Management (or similar) and/or extensive demonstrated
    experience in providing high-level administrative support.
  • Well-developed knowledge of, and contemporary experience in, working
    with clients with chronic health conditions and relevant management strategies.
  • Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment, economic
    and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and
    well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure
    improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services.
  • Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the
    ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and
    service providers.
  • High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to
    deal with challenging situations.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client
    information systems or similar.

Desirable

  • Experience working in Primary Health Care Clinic
  • Experience or knowledge in Medicare
  • Minimum 5 years? experience in a similar field
  • Experience in compliance and governance
