The opportunity

Vacuum Waste Management Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HYDRO EXCAVATION - VACUUM - LIQUID TRUCK OPERATOR to join our team in Waterloo Corner, SA. This is a casual role, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work flexibly while gaining valuable experience in the Vacuum Truck Operators sector of the Construction industry.

Key responsibilities

  1. Operate hydro excavation vacuum and liquid trucks to remove soil, debris and other materials from various construction sites
  2. Perform pre-start checks and maintain the trucks and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  3. Comply with all relevant safety regulations and company policies to protect yourself, your colleagues and the public
  4. Provide excellent customer service to clients by arriving on time, completing work to a high standard and communicating effectively
  5. Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure projects are completed on schedule

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience operating hydro excavation vacuum and liquid trucks
  2. Relevant Construction industry qualifications and tickets, such as Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence, waste transport qualification and hydro excavation certification
  3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
  5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
