About the role

As the Operations Manager at Vacuum Waste Management Pty Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our family run waste management business. This full-time position is based in Waterloo Corner, SA 5110 and will see you take charge of all operational aspects to ensure we continue delivering exceptional service to our clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement and optimisation of our waste management processes
  • Manage and oversee all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow coordination
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics to identify areas for enhancement and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and implement solutions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of skilled operational personnel
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business by providing data-driven recommendations

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience (3+ years) in a similar operations management role, preferably within the Hydro-Excavation and Vacuum Loading industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, workflow optimisation, and operational excellence
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Thorough understanding of relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control procedures
  • Ability to Increase Sales by face-to-face customer contact and cold calling on potential new customers.
