Business Development Manager

Location : Hong Kong

Description

Apex Fund Services is seeking to hire a junior sales professional to join its established Business Development team in Asia. To be based in Hong Kong, the role is to support lead generation and the origination of high-quality client relationships in a manner consistent with the businesses objectives supporting all of Asia.

The key focus of this role is two-fold:

Working alongside the Head of APAC Sales, support the momentum of strategic sales initiatives in the APAC region (North Asia and ASEAN) to generate revenue for the firm across multiple verticals.

Originate new business opportunities in the ASEAN region, generating new interest in our services offering.

The successful candidate is expected to develop an understanding of the market, our services and have experience in business development or client facing function.

An attractive salary and commission scheme is offered to the successful candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales Operations/Enablement:

  • Assist in driving the coordination of Apex's influencer network across all Apex locations in Asia, ensuring collaboration amongst sales team members in order to cultivate referrals from our industry partners

  • Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales management reports for APAC, including weekly revenue meetings, quarterly board meetings and ad-hoc presentations

  • Salesforce analytics to track weekly, monthly and YTD revenue vs. targets for performance tracking of individual and team progress

  • Work closely with Regional Head of Sales to support weekly performance reporting, marketing initiatives and campaign tracking

  • Undertake market outreach programs based on strategic initiatives

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to manage sales campaigns

  • Help assist with weekly team follow up, events and clients initiatives

Business Development:

  • Originate new client engagements

  • Ensure robust knowledge of Apex's offering and value proposition.

  • Assist Senior Business Development with cross-sell initiatives across services lines and geographies

  • Work closely with and build strong collaborative relationship with sales, marketing, client onboarding, operations and other functions.

  • Follow internal sales and non-sales process and compliance requirements. Includes management reporting, salesforce maintenance, attendance at internal meetings, assistance with onboarding as required, ensure agreed project deliverables are met.

Skills Required:

  • 2+ year's relevant experience in a client facing function.

  • Strong verbal and written English skills are essential.

  • Strong self-confidence, ability to contribute to discussion with target clients.

  • Highly organized, ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Possess a strong work ethic, as well as uncompromising integrity.

  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.
