We work closely with our clients to help them achieve their personal, financial and business goals. Some of the services we offer include: Specialist Taxation Consulting and Advice; Management Accounting; Business Development; Accounting and Taxation Compliance.

We are currently seeking an experienced Taxation Accountant to join our dynamic and professional team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing tax compliance, preparing financial reports, and offering expert taxation advice to our clients. You will report directly to the Manager and work closely with stakeholders to ensure tax obligations are met effectively and efficiently.

The Role

·       Preparing accurate and timely tax returns, business activity statements and other tax compliance documents for clients

·       Providing expert tax planning and advisory services to help clients minimise their tax obligations and maximise their financial position

·       Assist clients in meeting their tax obligations, including payroll tax, capital gains tax (CGT), and superannuation compliance.

·       Analysing financial data, identifying tax-saving opportunities and making strategic recommendations to clients

·       Liaising with clients, ATO representatives and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective tax management

·       Assist in financial reporting, including tax reconciliations and deferred tax calculations.

·       Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their tax and business advisory skills

·       Contributing to the continuous improvement of our tax and advisory services

·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality service and professional tax advice.

What we're looking for

· years of experience in a taxation or business services accounting role, ideally within a professional services firm

·       Thorough understanding of Australian tax legislation, compliance requirements and regulations

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercially-focused advice

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients

·       Proven track record of delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines

·       Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related field, and a current CPA or CA designation

·       Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks

·       Attention to detail
