Position Summary
The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the HR function and overall team management within a busy office environment. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR administration, recruitment coordination, policy and compliance review, and ensuring alignment with relevant awards and NDIS requirements. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to foster positive communication within the team.
This is an office-based position located in Cranbourne, requiring 5 hours per day, 3 days per week, with potential for increased hours as the position evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Human Resources Administration
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes, including reviewing job offers and employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Award & Compliance Management
- Ensure staff classifications and pay rates align with the appropriate Modern Awards.
- Review HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Fair Work, NDIS, and organisational requirements.
- Monitor and support adherence to company and NDIS compliance standards.
- Team Coordination & Communication
- Support internal communication and team engagement initiatives.
- Assist with coordinating meetings, performance reviews, and staff training schedules.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative office culture.
- Policy Review & Continuous Improvement
- Regularly review HR and operational policies for relevance and compliance.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practice HR management.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar HR or administration role.
- Demonstrated understanding of NDIS compliance and HR operations within the disability or community services sector.
- Working knowledge of Modern Awards and Fair Work regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills in a busy office environment.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Experience working with NDIS-registered providers or within the disability services sector.

Working Conditions
- Location: Office-based in Cranbourne.
- Hours: 5 hours per day, 3 days per week (with the possibility to increase as required).
- Work from home: Not available for this position.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.00 – $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
