The Research Officer at Adelaide Medical School supports University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) grant projects by managing student selection and performance data, coordinating with consortium universities, handling ethics submissions, and assisting with related administrative tasks.
The Adelaide Medical School is one of the largest in the University and includes highly successful researchers, a core of academic leaders and a large pool of enthusiastic and motivated clinical titleholders.
Working under chief investigators of UCAT grant projects, the Research Officer (RO) will assist with selection/performance data management of medical and dental students and will liaise with other Universities that are part of UCAT consortium in relation to collaborative projects in selection.
The RO will assist with ethics processes including submissions and reporting, collating and managing large data sets and assisting with data acquisition in relation to selection and performance within Adelaide University. The RO will also be asked to assist with administrative tasks related to UCAT projects in which the Adelaide University is involved.
To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records and manage large data sets.
- Experience with statistical analysis of datasets.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines with an ability to prioritize tasks
- Understanding research principles and/or research in education.
- Familiarity with ethics procedures
