About the role:
The Outcomes and Claims Manager plays a key role in supporting and guiding the Workforce Australia Services (WAS) and Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) teams—including leadership, Claims Officers, Mentors, and subcontractors—through the outcomes claims process. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that only legitimate claims are submitted, supported by appropriate and compliant documentary evidence. It also oversees the timely and accurate submission of claims, promotes ongoing education and collaboration across employment services staff regarding claims procedures, and leads the Outcomes and Claims team to maintain high standards of compliance and performance.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
- Minimum of Diploma in Employment Services, Financial services, Business or similar; AND
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing multiple Employment programs including some leadership experience
- Sound understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by different client cohorts and ability to support employees in service delivery
- Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate documentary evidence
- Ability to demonstrate successful execution of claims process within Employment Contracts
- An understanding of audit processes and the provision of evidence required for internal and external audits
- Demonstrated ability to develop high performing teams, and to coach, mentor and manage employees effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and externalstakeholders as well as to influence and negotiate as part of resolving conflict around claims / claims process
- Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgement
- Obtains results by leading people through positivity and motivation
- High level verbal and written communication skills
