The roleAre you an experienced bookkeeper looking to take the next step in your career and lead client delivery? We're seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing outsourced finance team at Lumina.
In this role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of prestige clients, delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services while providing oversight, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members. From managing complex reconciliations, cash flow, and payroll, to partnering with clients on process improvements and advisory support, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients' financial operations run seamlessly.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Operational
- Manage the end-to-end bookkeeping process for a diverse client portfolio.
- Review and oversee bank reconciliations, AP/AR, BAS/IAS preparation, and payroll compliance.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements and internal quality standards.
- Identify process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness in client delivery.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients, ensuring a clear understanding of their needs and goals.
- Partner with managers to deliver business insights and reporting that adds real value.
Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and support junior bookkeepers, providing guidance and reviewing their work.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Lead by example with professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.

- Minimum of 5 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally in a client-facing or outsourced finance environment.
- Solid working knowledge of cloud accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of payroll, GST, BAS, and general compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to engage directly with clients.
- Leadership qualities with a desire to mentor and support junior team members.
