About Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation

  • Provide acute care and manage chronic conditions in community settings.

  • Participate in health promotion, research, and public health initiatives.
  • Contribute to improving systems of care and health outcomes for Aboriginal people.
  • Build lasting relationships with patients, families, and community leaders.

Training & Supervision

  • Work under the guidance of experienced GPs and the Director of Medical Services.
  • Receive mentoring and structured supervision in line with NTGPE or equivalent GP Training Programs.
  • Develop skills in Aboriginal health, paediatrics, chronic disease, emergency care, and remote practice.
  • Gain hands-on experience in Communicare, CARPA guidelines, and Medicare processes.

Collaboration

You will work closely with:

  • Internal teams: Clinic Managers, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Midwives, and Coordinators (e.g. Child Health, Chronic Disease).
  • External partners: Gove District Hospital, NT Health, pathology/radiology providers, and visiting specialists.
