About the Roles

As we gear up for our Summer, we are seeking Food/Beverage attendants and Event staff to help deliver exceptional front-of-house service

Bartenders: Craft high-quality beverages and provide outstanding service to our guests. You will be responsible for preparing drinks, bar service standards, maintaining cleanliness, and creating a vibrant, experience in mixology is a plus.

Waiters: As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be the primary contact for our guests during their visit, from providing information about the menu, and delivering world-class hospitality, to the closing of their bill. You'll ensure a seamless dining experience and work closely with the Restaurant Managers.

Floor Staff: Provide exceptional table service and ensure guests have a seamless dining experience. Responsibilities include delivering food and drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and addressing guest needs promptly. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential.

Event Staff: You will be the warm welcoming face for guests as they enter Blackbird, responsible for responsible for ensuring smooth operations during events, providing excellent service, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, providing excellent service throughout their dining experience.
• Present menus, explain dishes and drinks in detail and make tailored recommendations. Make and serve drinks.
• Take accurate orders, serve food and beverages promptly, and manage transactions smoothly.
• Prepare tables, keep dining and bar areas tidy, and ensure the smooth operation of service.
• Liaise with kitchen staff to ensure dishes are served promptly and accurately.
• Maintain high health and safety standards, adhering to food and beverage regulations.

What We're Looking For

• All FOH staff must have a current QLD RSA.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a busy premium restaurant environment.
• Proven experience in restaurants, bar and events
• Familiarity with POS systems, excellent organisational skills, and multitasking ability.
• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
