Business Analyst

JOB DETAILS:

This role requires strong experience in business analysis within complex, service-based environments, ideally involving regulatory or case management processes. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of solution architecture and the ability to test, validate and refine proposed solutions to ensure they are practical, scalable and meet user needs.

The Lead Business and Solution Analyst will work closely with internal subject matter experts, operational teams, delivery partners and technical specialists to translate business needs into clear and actionable artefacts. This includes current and future state process mapping, user stories, requirements traceability, and acceptance criteria.

The role also contributes (& leads as required) to agile planning and phased delivery approaches, ensuring business input is aligned to the minimum viable product and future system enhancements. The Lead Business and Solution Analyst will support collaborative delivery and contribute to change and training activities to support successful adoption, including coaching and developing SME capabilities.

The role may also contribute to other programs and projects as required.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Leading the analysis and documentation of business requirements, functional needs and process improvements to support the delivery of new case management system
• Working collaboratively with subject matter experts, operational teams, delivery partners and technical specialists to develop and validate current and future state process maps, business rules and user stories
• Developing and maintaining core business analysis artefacts, including requirements traceability matrices, acceptance criteria and documentation to support design, configuration and testing
• Contributing to solution design by applying a strong understanding of solution architecture, data flows and business logic to ensure systems are practical, scalable and fit for purpose
• Supporting testing activities by validating functional requirements, identifying defects, and providing input into resolution strategies and quality assurance processes
• Supporting phased delivery planning by helping define minimum viable product requirements and sequencing future enhancements in consultation with business users and delivery teams
• Facilitating workshops, interviews and other engagement activities to gather insights, resolve issues, and build a shared understanding of system and business needs
• Working in an Agile and cross-functional delivery environment, contributing (and leading) sprint planning, backlog refinement and iterative development cycles across the program
• Collaborating with the Senior Change Manager, Communications team and other stakeholders to support training, change and adoption activities as needed
• Contributing to other programs and projects as required, providing high-quality business analysis support across systems, processes and service improvements

Essential criteria

• Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills, with a track record of producing clear, concise and persuasive documents for executive audiences.
• Experience as a senior or lead business and solution analyst on complex digital or regulatory projects Ability to work independently and take ownership of analysis and delivery without additional support
• Capacity to deliver outcomes to tight timeframes, and manage ambiguity Confidence working cross-functionally with subject matter experts, business process analysts and technical teams
• Experience contributing to solution architecture and validating system design Experience with modern cloud-based CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
• Skills in mapping processes, defining business rules, and developing user stories and acceptance criteria
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Strong facilitation, communication and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups
• High attention to detail, strong judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A commitment to improving systems and processes

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 14 months

Pay: $900.00 – $1,000.00 per day
