About the Role
As a Business Support Officer, you are responsible for delivering high-quality admin and operational support to Specialist Doctors, ensuring the smooth functioning of the team. You will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, offering accurate and timely assistance throughout their hospital stay.
Responsibilities include:
Receptionist and Administrative tasks
Liaison with various Health Professionals and patients
Maintaining schedules and accurate data entry
Processing patient excesses and cash handling
Liaison with Health Funds regarding patients' insurance cover
Processing of confidential Patient Data
Processing patient Informed Financial Consents and Estimates
About You
To excel in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with strong administrative skills, a passion for customer service, and a preference for working in a fast-paced environment.
You will also bring:
Demonstrated ability to deal courteously with people by telephone and in person.
Basic computer skills and general clerical experience
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a team orientated environment.
Demonstrated ability to function calmly under pressure.
Understanding of and commitment to principles of confidentiality
Exceptional attention to detail.
Reliable and trustworthy with a can-do attitude.
Ability to share a rotation of shifts EARLY & LATE (Range between 0730 and 1730 to 1800 on occasion)
Remuneration
A base hourly rate of $ superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clerk Grade 3 Yr1)

The Hospital
Cairns Private Hospital in tropical Cairns in far north Queensland, Australia, is a modern, well-equipped facility which offers a comprehensive range of medical and allied services. Requirements
Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
