Director, Planning and Asset Management
, you will be at the forefront of delivering the state's affordable housing vision, guiding $15 billion in housing assets, shaping long-term asset strategies, and influencing housing outcomes that affect thousands of lives. This pivotal role offers the scale, complexity, and influence sought by senior leaders, with the mandate to lead cross-sector partnerships, drive capital delivery programs, and embed best-practice asset life-cycle frameworks that will define the future of affordable and social housing in South Australia.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Property Services and forming part of the Property Services leadership team, this senior executive role provides strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of the Trust's planning, asset management, sales, and divestment functions. You will also be responsible for delivering the Trust's 1,000 home Affordable Housing Initiative.

You will:

  • Lead the strategic asset management lifecycle including asset acquisition and divestment, focusing on medium-to-long-term planning for a $15 billion portfolio.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of affordable housing capital projects across the state.
  • Embed frameworks and governance for project delivery, from identification through to evaluation.
  • Drive complex procurement processes that deliver commercial and social value.
  • Build strong partnerships with the housing sector, industry, and all levels of government.
  • Develop, lead and define a highly capable multi-disciplinary team and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Provide strategic insight and advice to the Minister, Chief Executive, and Executive Leadership Team.

With deep expertise in asset and project management, you bring commercial acumen, governance capability, and a strong commitment to delivering social impact. Your leadership style is collaborative and future-focused, enabling you to build strategic partnerships across government, industry, and community sectors. You are known for your ability to influence at the highest levels, communicate with clarity, and lead high-performing teams through transformation and change.
