Withcott Seedlings is located approximately 15 minutes east of Toowoomba and is a leading supplier of vegetable seedlings to the horticultural industry.

We are seeking applicants with demonstrated ability to lead a team and meet KPI expectations.

Success in this role will centre on your ability to lead a team towards meeting Key Performance Indicators, maintain WH&S practices and communicate effectively with all staff.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being accountable for your work area and team members.
  • Work with the team to achieve the set KPI's for each task.
  • Flexibility to complete work tasks outside of normal operating hours (including weekends) during periods of peak demand if necessary
  • Deliver ongoing, on the job training to your teams in conjunction with Managers and ensure yourself and any of your team members attend designated training sessions
  • Prioritise Daily production outcomes in conjunction with the nursery manager
  • Monitor plant quality in your work area and liaise closely with your Team Members and Nursery Managers to ensure that quality is maintained, and customer requirements are satisfied.
  • Gain the mutual respect of your team members and foster a positive workplace atmosphere on which to complete the tasks required.
  • Ensure that you and your team abide by all WH&S workplace policies and procedures at all times.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience with team leadership
  • Previous experience with meeting KPI's within a team environment
  • Ability to follow direction and WHS
  • Experience working the horticultural / agriculture industry in particular in vegetable seedling and plug production in an intensive nursery environment is highly desirable.
  • Good communication, organisation and time management skills with a willing attitude to complete allocated tasks
  • A positive attitude and happy disposition
