Place Activation Support Officer

Are you passionate about creating vibrant, engaging campus spaces? Curtin's Properties, Facilities and Development team is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Place Activation Support Officer to help bring our campus to life through events, activities, and dynamic place-making initiatives.

In this hands-on role, you'll be instrumental in supporting the delivery of our Place Activation program, enhancing Curtin's liveability and appeal as a destination for students, staff, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the coordination and delivery of place activation events and activities.
• Support venue bookings, logistics, and operational requirements.
• Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Develop and maintain run sheets, reports, schedules, and inventory records.
• Contribute to on-the-ground setup, bump in/out, and maintenance of activation assets.
• Monitor and maintain the presentation and functionality of place activation spaces.

Who we are looking for:

• Relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Organised, energetic, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A great communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.
• Comfortable with hands-on operational work, including event setup and logistics.
• Digitally literate, with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Resilient and adaptable, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Graphic design skills are desirable but not essential.

Role Requirements:

1. 'C' class drivers licence
2. Working rights that match the tenure of this of this role
3. Successful applicants may be subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction
4. Ability to work outside of normal office hours.
5. This job requires a hands-on approach, including bumping in and bumping out equipment for events.
