YHA Hobart provides ideal accommodation with 28 rooms and 110 beds, being the most centrally located traveller lodging in Hobart, just one block from the city's waterfront. The hostel is conveniently situated within walking distance to the MONA museum ferry at Constitution Dock, Salamanca Place, and numerous bars, restaurants, and cafes.

What you'll get to do

The Casual Maintenance Officer works closely with the Property Manager and our Facilities team to ensure our properties are maintained and presented in the highest possible standard. This will include

  • Performing thorough weekly building and facility inspections (or daily inspections as requested)
  • Liaising with the Property Manager or Building & Facilities Manager to initiate and schedule project works, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance
  • Maintaining the swimming pool, including testing and dosing chemical levels (where applicable)
  • Completing and maintaining inspection, safety, and maintenance reports and records
