About the Role:
In this role you will be responsible for originating and settling home loan applications. You'll develop and present tailored finance strategies to convert refinancing and property sales opportunities into successful finance deals. As our Mortgage Broker, you will engage directly with clients from the initial contact through to the settlement process, working closely with the Sales Advisory Team and processing staff to ensure efficient and compliant loan processing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Finance Strategy & Client Engagement:
o Prepare and present bespoke finance strategies that convert new leads into finalized home loan applications.
o Calculate Borrowing Capacity on specialist property products including NDIS, Rooming Houses, Co-living, Non-Resident Lending, Investment Loan strategies on multiple property portfolio.
o Actively seek and secure new client relationships, referral opportunities and promote internal refinance opportunities.
· Loan Origination & Management:
o Write and manage home loan applications for both new and existing clients.
o Collaborate with processing teams to ensure loan applications are lodged accurately and on time, monitoring progress from approval through to settlement.
· Client Interaction:
o Conduct client meetings—including after-hours and in-person sessions—to understand financial goals, explain loan solutions, and provide exceptional customer service.
o Develop and maintain robust personal client relationships to support ongoing business growth.
· Collaboration & Compliance:
o Work closely with the Sales Advisory Team and other internal partners to ensure fair distribution of workloads and seamless loan processing.
o Stay current with lender policies and industry changes, ensuring all activities adhere to regulatory and company standards.
Essential Requirements:
· A minimum of 3 years' experience in Loan Writing or Mortgage Broking within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
· Proven track record of actively seeking and securing new clients.
· Deep understanding of finance strategy, home loans, refinancing, and property sales finance.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Multi-bilingual is an advantage especially Tagalog and Vietnamese —this language skill is essential for connecting with our diverse client base.
· Ability to work flexibly, including participation in after-hours client engagements.
· Experience in working with Investment Property Groups is essential. Must have experience in handling loan applications for new residential builds, off-the-plan properties, construction loans and SMSF property loans.
