Seeking a remarkable Senior Lawyer/Senior Associate to join our Construction Practice in Brisbane

Excel in your legal career by joining our market leading Brisbane Construction team.
This role will see you working closely with front-end specialist Partner Chris Slocombe, contributing to a diverse range of matters — including some of the largest, high-profile and complex construction and infrastructure projects in Australia. The team acts for a wide range of public and private clients across the energy and resources, renewable energy, utilities, transport, and commercial development sectors.
You will work across a variety of front-end construction law activities, including advising clients on procurement processes, preparing and advising on the full spectrum of construction and engineering contracts in various industry sectors, and advising on legal and regulatory issues relating to construction and engineering projects.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years post admission experience with specific experience acting for project owners on in the development of construction and engineering projects
- High quality private practice experience and/or exceptional experience working in-house within the government/construction/projects industry
- Strong academic ability and drafting skills
- The ability to provide timely, accurate and commercially astute advice
- A strong sense of purpose, ambition and a proactive approach to your work
- A desire to work within a dynamic, supportive and fast-paced team environment on complex construction and infrastructure projects
- In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient, self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients.
The Construction team
The Construction team is one of the largest dedicated construction practices in the Asia Pacific region, working on some of the most significant infrastructure projects in the region for public and private participants.
We advise the full spectrum of participants, from owners, developers and project sponsors to Federal, State and Local Government agencies, financiers, project managers, consultants and contractors. We know and understand the practical, as well as the purely legal, aspects of what all participants in major projects want to achieve
