What you'll be doing

As a Clinical Support Officer Level 3, you will be ward/unit based and play a key role in supporting nursing, medical and allied health staff through efficient and accurate administrative services.

  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager with rostering, recruitment, payroll and workforce matters
  • Provide timely data entry and administrative support linked to patient care activities
  • Assist with reporting, quality indicators, accreditation and incident management
  • Coordinate purchasing, stock control and equipment maintenance for the ward/unit
  • Organise and support meetings, documentation and follow-up actions

  • Holds or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration
  • Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment
  • Experience with computerised rostering systems (HealthRoster).
