About the Role

Located in the heart of Sydney's CBD, the recently refurbished Rydges Australia Square is seeking an experienced, passionate and dynamic General Manager to lead the hotel operation. This role is central to realising and sustaining EVT's commercial objectives and people-focused values. As the property's chief host, brand ambassador, and experience creator, you'll be present, visible, and engaged. You'll drive performance, foster a high-energy culture, and lead with purpose, delivering exceptional service while growing revenue and maintaining operational excellence.

Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of achieving revenue growth and profitability.
• Deep understanding of operational frameworks, risk mitigation, and WH&S compliance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to be present, visible, and approachable across all areas of the business.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams, drive engagement, and develop talent.
• Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and Profit & Loss reports with strategic insight.
• Strong sales and customer experience mindset, with the ability to act as brand ambassador and chief host.
• Ability to foster community relationships and maintain strong stakeholder networks.
• Comfortable driving innovation and continuous improvement across service and operations.
• Committed to upholding company values, ethical standards, and corporate social responsibility.
