Assistant Restaurant Manager

AGSA_eat is now recruiting for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who will assist in leading the Food and Beverage team (with a focus on functions) and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

The Venue

AGSA_eat is located inside the Art Gallery of South Australia and is operated by SA-owned Palmer Hospitality Group, as part of the 2KW Bar and Restaurant family. Located by the sunny courtyard, the Restaurant showcases dishes inspired by art in the AGSA's collection.

The Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Daily running of the Restaurant, with a hands-on approach
  • Guest relations
  • Lead and manage the team
  • Event and function administration assistance
  • Managing the Sevenrooms booking platform
  • An enthusiastic approach with strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication
  • Assistance in regular and ongoing staff training

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a senior hospitality position
  • A flair and passion for delivering outstanding service
  • A strong appreciation for quality in all elements of your work
  • Ability to train and work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic, excellent communication, delegation and time-management
  • Wine knowledge is desirable

Desirable roster with hours of work consisting of mainly days, with the occasional nights.
