At Simple, we're on a mission to transform food safety, meal management, and compliance in aged care through smart, user-friendly software solutions. With deep experience in both software development and the unique needs of aged care providers, our team delivers digital tools that make compliance simpler, resident care safer, and workflows more efficient.

We are expanding our national footprint and are looking for a motivated and capable Business Development Manager (BDM) to help us grow.

About the Role

This is a growth-focused sales role ideal for someone who understands the aged care landscape and wants to work at the cutting edge of technology adoption in care environments. You'll be responsible for generating new leads, converting prospects into customers, and helping aged care organisations improve their operations through our SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify, research and generate new business leads within the aged care and related sectors.

· Build relationships with key stakeholders across aged care organisations (e.g. Facility Managers, Catering Managers, IT teams).

· Lead discovery meetings and product demos with potential clients.

· Develop proposals, quotes, and sales presentations tailored to client needs.

· Maintain accurate pipeline records in our CRM.

· Work closely with our Product, Implementation, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.

· Represent Simple at aged care events, trade shows and industry forums.

About You

You're someone who is passionate about both people and technology. You understand the aged care industry – whether from clinical, food service, hospitality or operations – and can easily build trust with stakeholders in the sector.

You will have:

· Proven experience in business development or B2B sales, ideally within software or aged care sectors.

· Familiarity with the compliance and operational pressures faced by aged care providers.

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

· A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organisational skills.

· The ability to identify needs and align solutions for mutual benefit.

Highly desirable:

· Previous experience in aged care, health tech, or food safety compliance.

· Understanding of tender or procurement processes in aged care.

· Experience working with SaaS or digital platforms.
