Job Summary

Martinus is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support us on the Inland Rail Albury to Parkes Project. This position will be site-based and will suit someone local to Wagga Wagga region or open to working on a FIFO arrangement.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide day-to-day environmental support to internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, water, waste, noise, and air.
  • Conduct required site inspections and audits.
  • Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environment and sustainability performance targets
  • Collaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements to ensure that we meet our obligations and improve performance.
  • Support the environmental systems needs of the business including implementation, regular reviews, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the management of environmental issues, including incident investigations.
  • Maintain ISO14001 Accreditation requirements.
  • Implement the Project's sustainability strategies including the Sustainability Management Plan
  • Submit permits and approvals as required.
  • Collection of data and analysis of subcontractor and supplier sustainability performance
  • Promote compliance in project environment and sustainability matters, delivery of training, toolboxes and awareness programs.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, councils, regulators, and other community stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
